The CAI-Asia Center shares the mission of the CAI-Asia Partnership of promoting better air quality and livable cities by translating knowledge to policies and actions to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from transport, energy and other sectors. The CAI-Asia Center was created in 11 June 2007 as the implementing arm of CAI-Asia projects and activities. Through its new status as an independent organization, the CAI-Asia Center is able to take more proactive efforts in facilitating and strengthening the air quality management agenda at the local, national, and regional levels. The CAI-Asia Center is based in Manila, Philippines with offices in Beijing, China and Delhi, India.

Glynda Bathan, Policy and Partnership ManagerGlynda manages the Center's policy development activities and the eight country networks in partnership building, knowledge sharing, project development and implementation. A lawyer by profession with an environmental management degree, she was instrumental in the process of incorporating the CAI-Asia Center as an NGO in 2007. She was a member of the team of consultants which assisted the Philippine government in drafting the implementing rules and regulations of the Philippine Clean Air Act. |

Bert Fabian, Transport Program ManagerBert takes the lead in managing and developing transport-related projects, conducts research and analysis on issues related to transportation, environment, and urban planning. He has co-written several publications including the “Transport and Carbon Dioxide Emissions: Forecasts, Options Analysis, and Evaluation (2009)” and the "Urban Air Pollution in Asian Cities: Status, Challenges and Management" (2006) to name a few. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Biology and a Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of the Philippines. |

May Ajero, Air Quality Program ManagerMay manages projects and implements knowledge management activities of CAI-Asia relating to air quality and co-benefits. She has co-written several publications on air quality management and designed the Clean Air Scorecard. She was the Energy Sector Leader of the GHG team for the Philippines 2nd National Communication to UNFCCC. In 2000, she left pharmaceutical chemist work for reseach on air quality and climate change issues, and now dreams of a Roadmap for Air Quality Standards in Asia. |

Art Docena, Finance & Administrative Services ManagerArt leads the finance and administrative services team. He developed many of the Center's operating procedures and is in charge of monitoring the Center's financial budgets and reporting on the Center's financial overview. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has extensive knowledge on financial management, accounting functions, financial modeling, financial forecasting and profitability / feasibility analysis. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, major in Accounting from the Philippine School of Business Administration. |

Sudhir Gota, Technical Manager (Transport)Sudhir specializes on environmental issues related to transport and has extensive experience in road design and safety aspects. He started his career as a highway design engineer in India and after five years switched to working on sustainable transport. He is the main designer of the Transport Emissions Evaluation Models for Projects (TEEMP) and has written several publications on transport and environmental issues. He holds a Masters Degree in transportation engineering from National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India. |

Alvin Mejia, Environment SpecialistAlvin conducts research on transportation and energy, training on clean fleet management and GHG accounting, and co-designed the TEEMP models for the CAI-Asia. Prior to joining CAI-Asia, he was involved in Clean Development Mechanism-related projects at Carbon Finance Solutions. He also authored a book on the GHG emissions from the Philippine electricity grids which was developed under IGES and the Manila Observatory. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University and is currently taking up his Masteral Degree on Environmental Management at Miriam College. |

Ritchie Anne Rono, Communications OfficerChee-Anne coordinates all communications-related activities of the Center and assists in the development of projects to help strengthen the eight CAI-Asia Country Networks. Yan Peng, China DirectorSince 2005, Yan has led the CAI-Asia China Office and has undertaken air quality, climate change, energy, and transport projects. She received Master of Law Degree from Peking University and pursued further studies at Johns Hopkins-Nanjing Center for Chinese and American Studies in China and University of Toronto, Canada. She has worked in environment management and social development, specialized in policy analysis and program design and evaluation. She has worked and managed environmental projects in China with international organizations and international consulting firm on EHS. |

Chu Zhang, Air Quality ResearcherChu joined Cai-Asia China Office in June 2011 to support the activities and projects contributing to better air quality and livable cities in China. He also worked in New York City at the Social Science Research Council as a researcher, and at the Biodegradable Product Institute for program coordination and communication. Mingming Liu, Administrative AssistantMingming joined the CAI-Asia China Office just after receiving her Masteral Degree in Economics from the China Agricultural University. Parthaa Bosu, India RepresentativeParthaa Bosu, has more than 11 years of combined experience in corporate affairs, corporate communications. Moving from a transport company, Parthaa joined the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) in 2000 to look in In-use vehicle emissions, before moving on special projects. Before leaving SIAM he was heading the Corporate Communications. In 2009, he had a brief stint with the Organising Committee Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010. |
