Atmospheric modelling simulates how air pollution disperses into the atmosphere. An air quality simulation model system (AQSM) is a numerical technique or methodology for estimating air pollutant concentrations in space and time. It is a function of the distribution of emissions and the existing meteorological and geophysical conditions. An alternative name is dispersion model.
