City AQM Workshops are organized by CAI-Asia and MEP at least once per year for the CAI-Asia China City Network which has 13 members: Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Guiyang, Hangzhou, Harbin, Jinan, Lanzhou, Luoyang, Qingdao, Tianjin and Urumqi. Representatives from Beijing EPB, Shanghai EPB, and EPBs of other large cities are also involved in the workshops.
Objectives are: a) Direct interaction between MEP and Cities on AQM policies and Practices; b) Experience sharing on AMQ among cities; c) Develop Linkage between city EPBs and other local agencies (i.e. transport committee, MDRCs, Vehicle Emission Centers); d) Strengthen awareness and identify the needs of cities on AQM; e) Training of cities on AQM topics and tools.
Workshop topics are selected based on city needs and national priority policies. To date, seven workshops have been held:

- The 3rd City Workshop of CAI-Asia China Network: Key Sources Identification and Emission Inventory Development Training Course (2007), Beijing
