IGES developed tools to bring more carbon finance to sustainable transportation projects in Asia. IGES researchers in collaboration with researchers at Nihon University also developed a manual to quantify the co-benefits from sustainable transportation projects in Asia. In 2010, CAI-Asia Center facilitated the field testing of the transport co-benefits manual (TCM) on actual projects in the Philippines. The TCM will be revised based on the results of the field testing. The project also strengthened the institutional capacity of the government sector and private sector by training trainers to use the manual and disseminate its use in the Philippines.
